We’re on the lookout for an experienced Mid-weight Graphic Designer to join our busy, growing studio. The ideal candidate will have strong a portfolio of work that demonstrates their creative flair and an impeccable eye for detail.

You’ll be responsible for producing design concepts and final artwork for digital and print projects across several key accounts.

As well as the all-important technical skills we’ll also be looking for someone very personable with great communication skills as speaking directly with clients and working as part of a close-knit team will be part and parcel of the role.

The right person will…

  • Hold a relevant HND / Degree level qualification
  • Have a minimum of three years of creative agency or design studio experience
  • Know InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator like the back of their hand (any After Effects, Figma or 3D experience would score bonus points)
  • Have a decent working knowledge of MS Office

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Web Designer to come and join the ranks at our busy, growing studio.As our Senior Web Designer, you will be responsible for developing our full web solution. The role will include conceptualising and designing visually-stunning and user-friendly websites. In addition, you will handle the front-end development tasks and possess a basic level of proficiency in deploying websites to live servers.As well as the technical skills, you will also be able to communicate effectively with both clients and the team to keep them up-to-date with project milestones.

The right person will have…

  • Proven experience as a web designer, front-end developer, or in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or other industry-standard design software
  • A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including responsive design principles
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g. Bootstrap, jQuery) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of deploying websites to live servers and managing domains and hosting
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and project scopes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Capable of executing projects with minimal direction
  • Good time management – Able to effectively manage projects from the start to conclusion
  • Able to lead/supervise/coach other colleagues

Your duties and responsibilities will include…

Design and Conceptualisation:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and target audience.
  • Create visually appealing website designs, user interfaces, and interactive elements that align with the client’s brand identity and project objectives.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and functionalities.

Front-End Development:

  • Implement responsive web designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, as well as seamless integration with back-end systems, when applicable.
  • Optimise websites for performance, speed, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure smooth integration of front-end, back-end and e-commerce functionalities.

Deployment:

  • Possess a basic level of proficiency in deploying websites to live servers.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and the ability to update and maintain website content as needed.
  • Perform basic server administration tasks, such as domain setup, hosting configuration, and DNS management.
  • Manage 3rd party IT-related relationships.
  • Conduct thorough testing.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • To participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings, in order to help the company meet and exceed client expectations.
  • To research and keep up to date with industry trends and the latest web design software, to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation.
  • To manage relations with a number of designated clients in order to ensure that their service requirements are understood and met and to maximise opportunities for developing further work.
  • To schedule and manage designated tasks within the weekly schedule to ensure work is appropriately prioritised and client expectations are met.
  • To proactively contribute towards the constant improvement and development of the company and its processes, documenting processes to cover the digital design part of the business in order to support the company’s strategic aims.
  • To take an active approach in leading and mentoring team members, in order to help support staff development.
  • To commit to a personal quarterly development plan based on a skills audit to raise your capability levels and improve the company’s service offering.
  • To manage and maintain SEO standards for the company and its clients.
